Cut
The Cut has the biggest influence on the fire and brilliance of the Diamond.
Color
Color refers to the body color of the diamond. Fancy color diamonds, from the most beautiful color for a diamond to no color.
Clarity
The degree to which a diamond is flawless, light is refracked through the diamond and clarity allows light to travel freely.
Carat
Diamonds are weighted in units called carats. A carat is measures in increments called points. One carat is equal to 100 points.
The 4 Cs
Cut, Color, Clarity & Color weight are the qualities that come together to define the specificiations of your diamond. The 4Cs allow you to determine the value of your piece.
Why are the 4Cs essential?
Quality of the carat may be more opinionated than the cut of the diamond. It is specific to each fashionista. Others favor the color of their stone compared to its clarity.

Cut
Cut refers to the shape of the diamond, but also to it’s proportions. The angles and facets related to one another, symmetry ( the precision of the cut), & polish (the surface of the diamond)
A Diamond’s cut is carefully cut by the master craftsman, to maximize the radiance of the stone.
Color
The Gemologist Institute of America (GIA) created the scale to measure diamond color, ranging from D (colorless) to Z (yellow). Fancy color diamonds are graded Z and higher.
Clarity
In Nature naturally occurring shapes and sizes occur on the diamond. They provide the variation in size, shape, position, quantity and color of the stone.
Inclusions (internal) are formed deep in the earth during the diamond’s creation. Natural impressions (external) result from the diamond-cutting process.
Carat
Two diamond of equal carat weight can have unscaled value depending on the cut, color and clarity of each.
